Smilebox card reviews8/18/2023 ![]() I used the 4.99 per month subscription which they require you to pay in full. I needed to make an assembly promotion video for my school. ![]() I would say run and run hard away from this service. I am glad they did respond within a day or two of the response, but am not altogether satisified with the end result. I explained that with the promo, a month for me should be $11 dollars, but they stopped responding to me. But hen I asked why not the full $140, I as told that $20 was the monthly fee. EDIT: To give credit here credit as due, they did return $120 dollars to me. Will update if they respond to my email and experience accordingly, But Smilebox's subscription practice reeks similar of those shady vitamin or only-on-tv companies and is a disgraceful practice, especially for people dealing with the loss of a loved one. After all of that, I woke up the day after the funeral to the annual charge, and so far have received no response back. On top of this, the slideshow malfunctioned when displaying the name of my grandmother, and when I went back to fix it, it would not download the correct mp4 file and kept downloading the glitched one, rather then the one I had to correct. I did not see the /tiny/ print in regards to them charging the full $140 for the annual fee for the premium service, when I was content to have paid the monthly fee of $11ish dollars for the one slideshow and planned to cancel the subscription afterwards. When her funeral came, I went to go make a slideshow in memoriam for her as my laptop did not have Powerpoint. I just recently lost my grandmother, and spent many nights with her in her final days.
